Assemble at Changi International Airport for a pleasant flight to Cairns.
Upon arrival, meet and greet by local representative. An early lunch will be served at local restaurant before commencing our afternoon sightseeing. Drive passing Esplanade, Cairns Lagoon, Cairns Railway Station, Cairns and Cairns Harbour. Visit St. Monica’s Cathedral, one of the most breathtaking cathedrals in all of Australia, featuring the World’s largest themed stained-glass windows. Visit Centenary Lake Park, beautiful parkland, the lake is home to cockatoos and ducks. Visit Cairns Zoom & Wildlife Dome,the world’s first challenge ropes course in a wildlife park. Cuddle a koala, enjoy interactive Australian wildlife presentations and experience adventure on the Mid-Zoom and Hi-Zoom courses with three ziplines – one of which takes participants directly over Goliath, our 4 metre saltwater crocodile! Visit Barron Gorge National Park, see the Creek Falls, its falling water dashing into Barron River.
After breakfast, transfer to Freshwater Railway Station. Board the Kuranda Scenic Rail for your journey to Kuranda. Approximately 1 ¾ hours as it winds its way through a tropical rainforest paradise framed by rugged mountains with waterfalls tumbling forever into deep ravines. Arrive into Kuranda Village Railway Station. Explore Kuranda Markets, giving you the chance to see the local arts and crafts and souvenir shopping. Visit Rainforest Station. At Pamagirri Aborginal Cultutal Centre, learn about their traditions and beliefs. Learn to throw the boomerang, observe spear throwing and dancers doing the traditional dance. Embark on a 45-minutes rainforest duck tour, exploring the tropical rainforest with its abundance of fauna and wildlife. Visit Tropical Fruit Garden. Visit the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary, up closed and personal with 2000 butterflies, Hitch on the famous Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, it spans 7.5kms over Australia’s pristine tropical rainforests. Glide just metres above the rainforest canopy before descending through the canopy layers and deep into the heart of the World Heritage Rainforest.
Enjoy a day to remember at the Great Barrier Reef. Transfer to Cairns Marina, our cruise operator Sunlover Reef Cruises will show the wonder of Great Barrier Reef (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Travel on air conditioned catamaran. Enroute Fitzroy Island before arriving Moore Reef Pontoon. 4 hours of reef time. Enjoy a glass bottom boat tour with marine expert. View the spectacular coral formations and colourful tropical fishes, clams, sea turtles from semi-submersibles and glass bottom boats. Theme park waterslides with enclosed kids pool for the young ones. Explore the wonders of the reef at your own leisure by snorkeling or swimming. Enjoy sunbathing at the sun deck. Take an optional helicopter ride at your own expense for a fantastic view of the reef if weather permits.
After breakfast, travel to Port Douglas. Visit Wildlife Habitat, home to many Australian animals and reptiles. Cuddle a koala, feed the kangaroos and wallabies, meet the pythons, crocodiles, and many Australian birds. Adopt an animal, the contributions go towards the animal welfare. Going to be unforgettable, enjoy lunch with the colourful lorikeets set in the wetland habitat. Have your picture taken with the colourful encounters. After lunch, our Port Douglas afternoon sightseeing will see 1879 Port Douglas Court House, Saint Mary’s Catholic Church and Buchanan’s Family Hotel. Explore Macrossan Street, heart of the city. Consider shopping at Port Village Shopping Centre. Ascend Flagstall Hill Lookout, see the Flagstall Hill Lighthouse overlooking the vast ocean. Also enjoying sweeping view of the Four Mile Beach. Time for some last minute shopping at Cairns Night Market with about 130 stalls selling homemade produces, handicrafts etc. Also a food court to try the local delicacies.
