After breakfast, journey to Cradle Mountain. Visit Dove Lake located at the foot of Cradle Mountain. You may see the views of the mountain, unexpected beach, ancient Ballroom Forest, the occasional echidna or platypus. Visit Devils@Cradle, the sanctuary for the Tasmanian Devil. Can adopt a devil (AUD 50 annually) here. Enroute to Sheffield. Visit the ‘the Town of Murals’ – the Tasmania’s Outdoor Art Gallery. Delightful murals are painted on the side walls of most of the buildings throughout the town.
After breakfast, continue to Campbell Town, an impressive collection of colonial buildings with many antique and speciality shops. Stopover Lake Leake before continuing to Wineglass Bay, one of the top ten beaches in the world. Wineglass Bay is surrounded by the mountains, serenely beautiful. Stop at Kate’s Berry Farm (seasonal attraction / no replacement when closed) an opportunity to purchase homemade jam and ice cream. Arrive Swansea, a small coastal town along east Tasmania. Along the fascinating coastal road, passing the town of St. Helen towards Bicheno. Stop by Bicheno Blowhole, see the ocean water rushing to shore, splashing about of the blowhole. Continue to Hobart.
Journey to Hobart, 2nd oldest city in Australia. At a stroll, by the Hobart Harbour Promenade, see the many yachts docked at its marina. Visit Salamanca Market, an open air Saturday’s bazaar. The largest market in the region which brings together a wide variety of handicrafts, food and performing arts. Visit Barilla Bay Oyster , a showcase of oyster and abalone farming. An opportunity to taste the freshest Pacific oyster and traditional Tasmanian ginger beer. Continue to Mount Wellington. At the summit, feel “Top of The World”, commanding the city of Hobart and the endless south ocean. Witness the beautiful southern sunset. (subject weather condition).
Another day of excitement. Travel to Curringa Farm, located in the Derwent Valley of Hamilton Town. At this working sheep farm, see sheep shearing, working farm dogs, fluffy chickens etc. Be treated to a farmer’s lunch. Enroute to Mount Field National Park. Stroll through the rare temperate rainforests of the world, visit the famous Russell Falls and Horseshoe Falls. Russell Falls is a three-level, elegantly set against the backdrop of lush vegetation.
Bid farewell to Tasmania and transfer to Airport for flight back to Singapore (via Sydney).
